When trying to forward an email to Event Temple using the forwarding address and including it in the BCC of the email, it doesn’t work if you have “Only emails initiated from Event Temple” selected in your email settings. If you select the other option, it does work.

Emails sent from outside ET using the BCC email are not creating new bookings, they just create a new contact. Documentation says that a new Booking will be created and the email will be linked to that Booking. Email never comes through to Event Temple either.
