Void documents & Invoices
Katie Knight
I operate a wedding venue and had sent a contract and Invoice out to a client. They never executed the contract and do not respond to my emails or made payment.
So I made that date available again, now have another couple interested in booking. I want to send them a contract, but don't want the first couple sending theirs back after the fact and then have a conflict.
If a document, such as a contract is past the 'due date' and has not been submitted, I'd like it to be locked/voided so the guest can no longer sign/submit it (unless I extend the 'due date').
For Invoices, to 'void' it so a client can't make payment, but this would need the functionality to accept payments after the due date since some may just make a late payment.
Users should also be able to mark a document as void, regardless of the due date.

Yes, we really need a way to expire/void contracts that have been sent. I don't love deleting it, then there is little record of what was sent.

You can now void invoices - read all about it here. We will keep this request open since it also asks for voiding Documents.

We would like to be able to add a due date to our proposals so that they expire after a certain period of time. We are hoping that documents that exceed the expiration date will result in the client no longer being able to sign that document.

Nuala from MA Centre needs the following: If a client does not wish to book the hall after they have received the invoice, we need to void the invoice. We need to know this invoice will not receive any payments, our accountants need something to show it is void.

Add a status field for documents called "closed"
Context:
Proposal links have expiration dates They would be automatically marked 'lost' by a specified date (we give folks 7-days to sign and submit payment)
