Opera Cloud Integration Fixes & Updates
Our dedicated team has been working to enhance the functionality and performance the Opera integration while also focusing on identifying and fixing any existing bugs.
We've also had some other big releases for handling Groups, including Batch Updating Group Blocks & Shifting Group Dates. Keep your eyes peeled, we have more exciting updates to come soon!
New and Improved
- Sync Behaviour & Performance— the sync is considerably faster now, especially for large blocks. If a sync fails, the data you entered into Event Temple is not touched. The error is shown and you are able to make any necessary adjustments without needing to redo everything you previously did.
- Sync button— relabeled for clarity to “Fetch from PMS”
- Elastic Setting- Opera Blocks created in Event Temple are elastic by default. Elastic-type blocks allow you to extend a guest in Opera who is a part of the block room allotment to a future date even if rooms are not available in the Allotment for a future date.
- Force overbooking setting- Opera settings now allow you to specify whether group blocks ignore inventory limits in Opera. This is great for sales teams that like to book everything on one room and let their team distribute it accordingly in Opera.
- Long Stays- any length group is now supported
Fixes
- Changing group dates would fail inconsistently
- Group dates would reset after saving
- Changing release date in Event Temple was not updating in Opera
- Status changes were causing blocks to disappear
- Groups with large numbers of room blocks were timing out during sync and failing to push
- Couldn’t edit group if there were pickups
- Groups that were longer than 7 days were having everything after 7 days wiped
- Transaction Code Wiping in Opera (along with numerous other block details)
